Experience and Qualifications

I have gained a wealth of experience from working in Adult Psychological Therapies for NHS Ayrshire and Arran (Scotland) over the last 14 years.I worked in GP surgeries taking referrals directly from them and as part of the Psychological Therapies Team .

I have specialist training in working with survivors of abuse and ran 'The Moving On' service for a voluntary organisation.I also have additional training and experience working with couples, young people and family groups.

I currently work in Private Practice as well as being the School Counsellor for a large independant school.

  • UKRCP (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists)
  • Certificate In Person Centred Couple Counselling
  • Certificate In Working With Survivors of Abuse
  • Counselling In Secondary Schools
  • Training In Person Centred Supervision
  • CBT for Counsellors already trained in a non CBT modality.
  • BRIEF; Training in Solution Focused Practise.

    I am an accredited member of The British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I work within their ethical framework.The counselling I provide is confidential and the details of the counselling will always be protected.

    In line with best practice all confidential records will be kept in a locked filing cabinet or will be password protected if kept electronically.If kept electronically I will ensure that all requirements of the Data Protection Act are complied with.
